Y Happens

On Friday morning, Ali, Mom, and I loaded up the truck and flew out to Utah. Between us we had 8 huge suitcases (4 of which were mine), 3 boxes to carry on the plane, and 3 backpacks ... These were no problem on the plane, but became an issue when we tried to squeeze them into a Pontiac Vibe. You can see for yourself just how small this "mid-size" car really is. In the end, the suitcases filled the back and blocked the back window, and I sat in the front - half on the middle console and half on Ali's lap, with no seatbelt - for the 45 minute ride to Provo from Salt Lake City.

But the trip was worth it. We saw family on Friday night, did some last minute shopping on Saturday, and today went to the dedication for the Oquirrh ("Oaker") Temple. Everything is finally all set for me to move into my apartment on Tuesday! The roads only took me a day to learn, and I'm really excited to be going to BYU.. next I just have to learn to like Utah :)
